Last Minute Great Lakes Opportunity: Catch Polsteam’s m.v. Isa From Amsterdam To Cleveland Or Burns Harbor, Fares From $1,772 pp

IsaThe 35,600-ton Polsteam bulk carrier m.v. Isa is now on her way across the Atlantic from Montreal to Hamburg. After discharge, she will set course for IJmuiden, near Amsterdam, where she is due to arrive during the week of October 28. Her next cargo will be Tata Steel for the Great Lakes ports of Cleveland and Burns Harbor and she has a few cabins available for passengers. Sailing date is expected to be late October.

PZM Polish Steamship Company’s Isa first opened this St Lawrence Seaway passenger service in March 2000. The Seaway season lasts from late March to late December each year. Thirteen ships take part in the Great Lakes service, with one or two sailings a month at the moment. The five “I” class ships feature an Owners Cabin, a double cabin and two single cabins, all outside, with a capacity for up to six passengers each.

Fares, including port charges, are $1,772 per person to Cleveland or $2,012 to Burns Harbor. while the Owners cabin is $1,967 to Cleveland and $2,267 to Burns Harbor, in double occupancy. Sole occupancy rates are higher. A full US visa (not an ESTA) is required to undertake this voyage.
